Is there a minimum hire period?

Yes, our prices are based on a minimum hire period of seven days. However, shorter periods may be available last minute, subject to availability. Please note that prices for periods less than seven days are not pro-rated due to fixed delivery and valeting costs.

Do I need a driving license?

No, you don’t need a driving license for Class 2 or Class 3 Mobility Scooters. However, Class 3 Mobility Scooters should comply with the Highway Code at all times. For more information, you can download our Highway Code for Mobility Scooter Users

Do I need insurance?

No, insurance is not legally required, but it’s advisable to check your home insurance policy as it may cover this. If not, consider adding it, as it can be inexpensive. Inform your travel insurer about hiring a scooter, as they may offer cover for personal accidents and liability. We recommend considering third-party insurance and suggest Fish Insurance.

What are the classifications of Mobility Scooters?

Our rental fleet includes both Class 2 and Class 3 scooters. Class 2 scooters have a top speed of 4 mph, ideal for pavements, while Class 3 scooters with a top speed of 8 mph are better suited for longer distances and have two speed settings for pavement and road use.

Do I need experience?

No, prior experience isn’t necessary. If you’re unfamiliar with driving a mobility scooter, inform us when booking, and we’ll ensure you’re confident with its operation and limitations before you go off independently.

Are there any age restrictions?

No, there are no age limits, but the responsibility for safe scooter use remains with the hirer. We don’t recommend children under 10 use the scooter, and those under 18 should be supervised at all times.

Are there restrictions on scooter use in hotels?

Most hotels in Paphos welcome mobility scooters, but policies may vary. Confirm with your travel agent or the hotel directly to ensure their policy suits your needs.

What is the top speed?

Our scooters have adjustable speeds: 4 mph for Class 2 and 8 mph for Class 3. Start at a slow speed until you’re accustomed to the scooter’s characteristics.

What distance can I expect on a full charge?

Expect ranges between 15 to 18 miles for some models, varying based on user weight and terrain.

How long will the scooter last before needing to charge the batteries?

Charge the batteries nightly, though indicators may stay green for longer. Charging times vary but typically take around 8 hours from fully discharged.

Will the portable scooter fit into a car boot?

Yes, portable scooters can be disassembled into five parts for easy transport in a family car. Assembly typically takes about five minutes.

Can I leave the scooter in the car boot?

No, extreme temperatures in Cyprus can damage batteries and scooter components. Scooters should be stored in a cool, secure place when not in use.
